Through my lens, I aim to capture the quieter, more elusive moods of the surrounding alpine landscapes. Standing before these silent giants that are the mountains and the landscapes strech out into seemingly endless distances, time seems to lose all meaning. My images emerge from the Austrian Alps - veiled ridgelines, atmospheric fog walls, dense lush forests, muted light, and the gentle and sometimes very harsh unfolding of weather and season.

The mountains are both harsh and generous: Shaped by exposure, cold, and constant change, yet offering an endless depth of beauty to those willing to move slowly and observe. Instead of seeking the most photographed locations or ticking scenes off a list, my approach is rooted in presence. I prefer remote, lesser-traveled areas, allowing time and attention to shape the work rather than expectations. It is often there, where slowing down and observing reveals how atmosphere, texture, mood and light gradually shape the many facets of the alpine world.
