About

I don’t see my work as being particularly about myself, but about the connection that grows from spending time in nature. The mountains don’t ask who you are or where you are going. As long as I can remember, the nature around me has shaped how I see and experience life. My father introduced me to forests and mountains early on, and from childhood I was deeply in awe of these places. Hiking and being outdoors have always been part of my life, so photographing my surroundings felt like a natural extension of that. Around the age of thirteen, I discovered digital photography through my first small bridge camera. What began casually - continued with a smartphone, later with a DSLR borrowed from my brother - slowly developed into something more meaningful for me. Since 2016, a camera has accompanied me on every hike.

Photography continues to challenge and shape me. It encourages learning (about light and technique, weather and terrain, animals and their habitats, …) but it also asks for patience, presence, and attentiveness. Through it, my relationship with nature and the changing seasons has deepened. Photography has changed the way I see the world, allowing me to find beauty not only in dramatic landscapes, but also in quiet moments, small details, and the often overlooked.
